PHOENIX RISING YOGA: This yoga practice combines traditional hatha yoga and body-mind awareness techniques to bring you to a deeper connection with your inner self. Through deeper presence to your own unique experiences during posture flows you become more aware and are able to know yourself more fully. This is an enabling, self-empowering process that can be related to your life experience with the potential for change, personal growth, and enhanced well-being. Because PRY places the experience and benefits of yoga directly into your hands, it will provide you with an excellent foundation for developing a personal home practice. THERAPEUTIC MEDITATION A guide to weekly practice and healing. Scheduled in six and eight week sessions periodically thoughout the year, therapeutic mediation offers techniques that you can easily incorpaorate into a busy schedule. Techniques are drawn from various sources and address specific goals such as general stress reduction, self-awareness and personal growth, purification of the energy centers in the body (chakras) for enhanced vitality, peacefulness, increased concentration and focus, and higher awareness (enlightenment). Meditiaion practices have been well documented in health literature for its overall health benefits. Please see schedule for details.
AHIMSA: Ahimsa Yoga brings the mind, body, emotions, thoughts, and spirit into balance. It is an engaging and joyous practice. Ahimsa opens the heart. The emphasis is on yoga as an individual expression of your own needs. The physical benefits of Ahimsa Yoga are: releasing held tension in the body, toning the internal organs, increased flexibility, opens the joints, decreased physical pain, improved balance, relaxation, and a peaceful mental and emotional state.
